SLINGSHOT takes its name from the life of David (I Samuel 16 -18) "served the purposes of God in his generation."

We are called to equip and develop leadership for the emerging culture who are called to impact all the spheres of influence around the globe in the 21st century. We are looking for young leaders who carry the spirit of YWAM in them, are living a life of obedience and fear of the Lord, are presently leading and are commended by their YWAM leader.

During Slingshot we will look at where we have come from to understand where we are going. We are intentional to:
- Provide an understanding of YWAM’s history, values and vision.

- Facilitate a global networking to see partnership in ministries and new initiatives.
- See a strengthening of inner personal foundations.
- Pursue an impartation of the heart of God for His world.
- Model our commitment to being Holy Spirit led in all elements of our event.
- Connect our young leaders with the fathers and mothers of our Mission.

Slingshot is field-based, coming to a region at the invitation of local and national YWAM leadership.
Each event is different as individuals come together and bring their contribution. We always believe God for an environment of faith, revelation and impartation that calls forth the 'Davidness' in our young leaders!
